Leapfrog Distributions officially announced two new mechanical gaming keyboards under its Armaggeddon gaming line. The keyboards are the MKA 11R RGB Raptor and limited edition white colour MKA 13R RGB Eagle.
As it is the norm with all mechanical keyboards today, both the MKA 11R and MKA 13R RGB Eagle are are outfitted with RGB LEDs that is capable of cycling through 16.8 million colour options. However, it should be noted that the MKA 11R’s RGB lighting can be configured individually (like keyboards that use per-key RGB lighting), while the RGB lighting on the MKA 13R RGB Eagle only comes with pre-set lighting programs.
Regarding key switches, both mechanical keyboards do not Cherry MX switches. Instead, they are fitted with a Chinese-made key switch called Outemu. Leapfrog says that these key switches only require an actuation force of just 5g, making them rather tactile keyboards. Design-wise, the Outemu key switches looks like a combination of Cherry MX keys and Logitech’s Romer-G key switches.
Both the Armaggeddon MKA 11R RGB Raptor and limited edition white MKA 13R RGB Eagle will be coming to Malaysia nearing the end of August. At the time, Leapfrog says that the MKA 11R RGB Raptor will retail at an SRP of RM149, but did not provide an official price for the limited edition white MKA 13R RGB Eagle.
