Apple is expected to launch several new models of its iPhone later this year. However, Ming-Chi Kuo, former analyst at KGI Securities and renowned serial leaker for all things Apple, recently predicted that the 2018 iPhones may also be coming in a new range of colour options.
According to Kuo, the new colour options for the 2018 iPhones include black, white, and gold colour options for a 6.5-inch OLED iPhone. There is also a rumoured 6.1-inch LED iPhone, which will reportedly come in gray, white, blue, red, and orange colour schemes.
Releasing iPhones with this many colour options isn’t a new thing for Apple. Back when the company launched its iPhone 5c, the phone also came in a bevy of colours that included a yellow, green, blue, and red variant of the phone. Apple also tends to release a red variant of its most current iPhone, months after its launch date.
If Kuo’s rumour of the new iPhone colours does ring true, then another takeaway here is that Apple will be launching a total of three new iPhone models during the company’s annual keynote in September. This includes the original 5.7-inch iPhone X with a bump in its hardware, a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone with Face ID, as well as a rumoured 6.5-inch OLED “iPhone X Plus”.
