When TM announces speed upgrade for existing unifi customers earlier this year which will come in the form of unifi Turbo plans, the company left out plenty of details from the announcement and will only reveal them in another briefing next week. However, TM did mention that customers will receive more than double of their existing speed through the newly upgraded plan.
Frankly speaking, “more than double” is still quite vague but in a number of response by TM through unifi’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts, the company seems to have quietly reveal the figure:
Despite these responses though, it is still hard to tell what “10x increase in speed” actually means without actual and detailed clarifications from TM. Frankly speaking, we don’t think the company would significantly increase the speed of their unifi’s offerings given past experiences.
Because really, is TM willing to push the speed of their current 10Mbps, 30Mbps, 50Mbps, and 100Mbps unifi plans to 100Mbps, 300Mbps, 500Mbps, and 1Gbps respectively? Once again, we don’t think so.
That being said, we don’t mind to be proven wrong in this matter…in fact, we really want to be proven wrong. Hence, we are really looking forward to hear more reading unifi Turbo plans as well as the entry-level unifi 30Mbps and unifi Mobile unlimited postpaid plans from TM at the upcoming media briefing on 12 July.
