Officially shown to the world just weeks ago, the new BlackBerry KEY2 will be making its debut in Malaysia very soon. This was confirmed through an invite for its launch event which was sent to media earlier today.
Equipped with a 4.5-inch 3:2 IPS display that features a resolution of 1620 x 1080 and pixel density of 433ppi, the KEY2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. It also comes standard with 6GB of RAM and can obtained with either 64GB or 128GB internal storage although we have no idea which variant will be released in Malaysia at the moment.
Of course, KEY2’s biggest attraction is its touch-sensitive physical QWERTY keyboard that also come with an integrated fingerprint sensor on the spacebar and Speed Key function. Additionally, the phone is also the first BlackBerry device to be equipped with dual rear camera in the form of two 12MP sensors.
Completing KEY2’s general specifications is an 8MP selfie camera and 3500mAh battery which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 standard. We expect the phone’s actual roll out date and pricing to be unveiled at the launch event on 10 July, so stay tuned for further updates.
