It might have taken HMD Global a while to bring this particular device into our market but it is finally here. The second-generation Nokia 6 is now available in Malaysia, months after it was first launched in China earlier this year prior to its global debut at Mobile World Congress.
The phone which is also known as Nokia 6.1 or Nokia 6 (2018) is equipped with 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. For our market, the model comes standard with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage instead of the 3GB/32GB variant that might have been offered in other markets.
On its back, the phone features a 16MP PDAF camera which is also equipped with f/2.0 lens from Zeiss and dual-tone flash. For selfies, the Nokia 6 (2018) relies on a 8MP f/2.0 fixed focus camera that also offers 84-degrees field of view. Completing its general hardware specifications is a 3000mAh battery.
While HMD Global has yet to officially announced the phone’s availability, a number of retailers such as DirectD and the Nokia-branded store in Bangsar Shopping Center have stated that the new Nokia 6 (2018) is now readily available from them for RM 1100. Hence, expect it to appear in more stores very soon.
