It seems like Motorola is finally ready to unveil a new flagship smartphone – at least, that’s what most of us are expecting. The company just announced that it will be holding a launch event on 2 August, where it will show “a whole new way to connect.”
Chances are, Motorola will introduce the Moto Z3 on that day, and it should bring with it a couple of neat upgrades. If the Moto Z3 Play is any indication, the Moto Z3 flagship should come with an 18:9 display, while maintaining similar dimensions for compatibility with Motorola’s range of Moto Mods.
It also wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume that the Moto Z3 will come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 chipset, along with reasonably large RAM and internal storage – these are a given for a flagship smartphone. It’ll also be interesting to see if the Z3 will have any unique appeals.
Aside from the Moto Z3, there’s also a chance Motorola will unveil the Motorola One Power, which has been leaked pretty extensively. It’s expected to feature a notched display, a dual-camera system, as well as a rear fingerprint sensor. As its name suggests, the One Power is supposedly an Android One device too.
We’ll find out come 2 August whether or not Motorola will be launching either one of these two phones. Nonetheless, it should be an interesting launch event.
