Leaked just yesterday, the Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition is now official. Despite this being a more limited variant of the Mi 6X, it actually doesn’t cost that much more than the standard Mi 6X.
This isn’t the first time Hatsune Miku is featured on a Xiaomi smartphone. Just last year, the Chinese company revealed a special edition Mi 4X designed after the popular character. But unlike last year’s offering, this limited edition Mi 6X sports a more elaborate design.
For one, the metal back of the Mi 6X Hatsune Miku edition prominently features the character, and the phone even comes with a rather well-designed casing. Aside from that, the limited edition Mi 6X also comes with a Hatsune Miku 10,000mAh power bank, a gift box, and a collector’s card.
Beyond the design differences and extra goodies, this variant of the Mi 6X isn’t any different from the standard model. It still comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a 3,010mAh battery. It also comes with a 20MP + 12MP dual-camera system and a 20MP front-facing shooter.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition will go on sale in China on 3 July. Retailing at 2,099 Chinese yuan (about RM1,280), it’s not a very costly smartphone either. Of course, there’s no telling if this phone will be made available outside of China.
