Nintendo has created one of the best looking Switch consoles as a special edition. The only catch is that nobody will be able to buy these, potential owners will instead have to win the Nintendo Labo Creators Contest.
The cardboard themed Switch features a simple print, but one that is surprisingly effective. Evoking the look of being made completely of cardboard, but thankfully retaining that hard plastic shell. It will definitely fit in with the actually-made-of-cardboard Nintendo Labo accessories.
Winning one of the Switches requires coming out on top in one of the two Labo Creators Contest categories. Either in the creating a new Toy-Con musical instrument or a new gaming experience in the Toy-Con Garage. Both of which require owning the Toy-Con Garage set; which allows players to customise their Labo play experience.
Sadly, this contest is only open to people in the US and Canada; leaving even Japan out of the equation. We can only hope that Nintendo has plans for a more general release of the cardboard themed Switch. Seeing that the current arrangement will only put two of the devices out in the wild.
