Besides the WD My Passport Wireless SSD, Western Digital also launched the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD. The rugged and light data storage device was first introduced at CES 2018, and is aimed towards professionals and photographers that tend to spend more time outdoors.
The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD comes in four storage capacities: 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB. It uses a USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface, which means that you are guaranteed sequential read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s. It also has an IP55 rating, making both water and dust resistant, as well as capable of working in extreme or harsh environments.
To makes matter even more convenient, all SanDisk Extreme Portable SSDs ship out of the box in exFAT format, making it an ideal device for professionals that deal with large files on a daily basis.
The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD is available at all leading IT retail outlets starting today. It is also available for purchase via online stores on Lazada, 11Street, and Shopee. The official SRP starts from RM529 for 250GB, RM829 for 500GB, RM1699 for 1TB, and RM3299 for 2TB.
