If you’re shopping for a pair of truly wireless earbuds, you may be interested in Sony’s latest product: the WF-SP700N. Available right now in Malaysia, these earbuds are not only completely free of wires, they also support noise-cancelling.
However, the WF-SP700N’s noise cancellation technology is only digital; it’s not active noise cancellation. It’s still a notable feature, of course, and the WF-SP700N is also IPX4-rated. Essentially, it is splash- and water-resistant, making it ideal for active use.
Aside from that, the WF-SP700N has an Ambient Sound mode too, making it possible for you to hear the outside world even when you’re wearing the earbuds. A very useful feature when you’re jogging in public places, for example.
Other specifications of the WF-SP700N include up to three hours of battery life on a single charge – the carrying case has enough juice to charge up the earbuds two more times – Bluetooth 4.1, Sony’s Extra Bass technology, and support for Google Assistant, which will be added in a future update.
The Sony WF-SP700N truly wireless earbuds are now available in Malaysia. Retailing at RM709, it’s not affordable, but that’s really how much you’ll need to pay for wireless earbuds. After all, even Samsung’s Gear IconX goes for RM799.
