Many consumers were left rather disappointed with the fact that there had been little to no showcase of Z390-based motherboards from manufacturers at Computex 2018, despite Intel releasing its product brief on the chipset earlier. That said, folks at VideoCardz have somehow managed to obtain a list of Asus Z390 motherboards that are currently in development.
According to VideoCardz, consumers can expect there to be plenty of Z390-based motherboards from Asus. Of course, being a high-end motherboard chipset means that most if not all of them will be rather pricey. The aforementioned tech site has also stated that the ROG Maximus XI series Z390 mainboards will retain the same naming convention as the older ROG Maximus X series.
Those aside, the Z390 motherboards that are allegedly “confirmed” to be in development are the Asus ROG Maximus XI Code, ROG Maximus XI Extreme, ROG Maximus XI Formula, ROG Maximus XI Hero, ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming, ROG Strix Z390-F Gaming, ROG Strix Z390-H Gaming, and ROG Strix Z390-I Gaming—all of which are not officially announced by Asus at the time of writing.
Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see how attractive Asus’ Z390 motherboard offerings will be against its competitors. Hopefully the release date for these motherboards will be unveiled sooner rather than later.
