Bandai Namco has a new fighting game, and it was just unveiled at E3 2018. Dubbed Jump Force, the upcoming game has a very interesting roster made up of Shonen Jump characters. These include iconic names from Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, and even Death Note.
In essence, Jump Force is your typical 3D fighting game, and it plays pretty similarly to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Each players will have control over three characters, and they can be switched out to the players’ liking. So far, characters that are confirmed to be in the game are Goku, Frieza, Naruto, Sasuke, Luffy, and Zoro.
Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Jump Force does look like a pretty impressive game in terms of graphics. Some may not like the “realistic” rendering of these Shonen Jump characters, but it’s worth noting that it is still a game in development. That being said, the game is said to be locked to 30 frames per second on consoles – we imagine the game will run at a higher frame rate on PC.
Jump Force is expected to be released sometime in 2019. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as PC via Steam. It’ll be interesting to see what other Shonen Jump characters Bandai Namco will announce in the future.
