This particular game has been in development for quite some time but just as we thought that the wait will be over within this year, gamers will have to wait slightly longer to get their hands on Kingdom Hearts III. Originally scheduled for release in 2018, Square Enix has announced that the game will only be released next year.
The announcement took place rather unexpectedly on Twitter few hours ago. While the game’s producer, Tetsuya Nomura apologizes that he and his team need addition time to finish up the game, at the very least the game now has a firm release date.
To be made available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, gamers can look forward for the release of Kingdom Hearts III on 29 January 2019. At the same time, Square Enix will also unveiled a number of new trailers for the game at E3 2018 later this week.
A joint collaboration between Disney and Square Enix, the Kingdom Hearts series feature plenty of well-known characters from both companies. With the original Kingdom Hearts was released for PlayStation 2 back in 2002, Kingdom Hearts III is the 10th main game in the series.
