Together with ZenFone Max Pro M1, ASUS has also launched ZenFone 5 for the Malaysian market. Just like its lower-end sibling, the price of the phone has been leaked few days ago and the information was rather on point.
Scheduled to be available for pre-order on 4 June exclusively through Lazada, the ZenFone 5 will indeed be priced at RM 1299. The Malaysian variant will feature 4GB of RAM alongside 64GB internal storage.
Other than that, the ZenFone 5 also carries 6.2-inch full HD+ 19:9 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, and 3300mAh battery. It also features AI-enhanced dual rear camera setup with a combination of 12MP and 8MP sensor alongside another 8MP camera on its front.
Meanwhile, ASUS is not able to officially confirm at the moment whether the higher-end ZenFone 5Z with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 will be making its way to Malaysia or otherwise. We’ll keep you updated once we hear further news regarding this particular variant but for the meantime, don’t forget to check out our initial hands on experience with ZenFone 5 right here.
