Shots of alleged screen protectors for the upcoming Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have appeared online. The photo shows that only the larger of the two phones sports a notch, while the the supposed Pixel 3 follows a more traditional front facade.
Also visible are slots for the front-facing placing stereo speakers, which is a welcomed design.
Extra cut-outs are also seen at the top for both smartphones; perhaps giving space for an extra sensor. It’s more likely that this is for a front camera flash, but may also indicate additional cameras for facial recognition technology.
The Pixel 3 family is expected to be the first device to feature Android P, and there are reports that the upcoming Android version will natively support the notch. We can also expect the phone to feature the Snapdragon 845 chip, with up to 6GB RAM (or possibly more). The phone is expected to be launched sometime this year, possibly in the third quarter.
