Samsung has launched a number of new Galaxy smartphones in Malaysia earlier this week. Among them are the 2018 iterations of J4 and J6 which are part of the company’s offerings for the mid-range market.
Built with a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, the J4 is powered by Samsung Exynos 7 Quad 7570 processor which runs at 1.4GHz. The phone is also equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with support for microSD card of up to 256GB.
The J4 also carries a 13MP f/1.9 camera on its back as well as a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera and tri-level LED flash on the front. The phone also features a removable 3000mAh battery that apparently able to provide up to 13 hours of LTE Internet usage time and 18 hours of video playback.
As for the higher-end J6, this particular device comes standard with a larger 5.6-inch HD+ 18.5:9 Super AMOLED display and more powerful 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7870 processor. There are more RAM and internal storage space on this phone as well at 3GB and 32GB respectively while still able to support up to 256GB microSD card.
Other than that, the J6 also features 13MP f/1.9 rera camera and 8MP f/1.9 front camera. Similar to the J4, Samsung has also equipped J6 with tri-level LED flash for the phone’s front camera. The phone also comes with 3000mAh battery but it can’t be removed unlike the J4.
Price-wise, the Galaxy J4 can be obtained for RM 599 while the Galaxy J6 goes for RM 799. Consumers are able to purchase these phones for slightly lower though since Samsung has an on-going promotion right now which provide 6% discount for either of these phones auntil 31 May.
