As promised, Honor Malaysia today has officially launched its latest phone, the Honor 10 in Malaysia. We have discussed in detail about the new phone in our review last week although the launch event today revealed one more essential detail which was kept under wraps until just moments ago: its price.
Before that thought, let’s talk about its general specifications. Equipped with 5.84-inch full HD+ IPS device, the Honor 10 is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 970 octa-core processor alongside 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
One of the Honor 10’s much touted characteristics is its Aurora Glass back that has color-changing effect based on the angle that users looked at it and is the result of color reflection coating that the company implemented on the phone. Apart from the phone’s signature Phantom Blue colorway, consumers in Malaysia are also able to get their hands on the phone in Midnight Black, and Glacier Grey.
Other than that, the Honor 10 is also equipped with a combination of 16MP RGB f/1.8 camera and 24MP monochrome camera on its back alongside 24MP f/2.0 camera on the front. These cameras have apparently been enhanced through AI-fueled multi-scene recognition and semantic image segmentation which are said help deliver better bokeh effect and general output.
Wrapping up its general specifications is a 3400mAh battery which also supports Honor’s own Super Charge tech that allows the phone to be charged up to 50% in 25 minutes. As for the price, the Honor 10 will be released into the stores throughout Malaysia with RRP of RM 1,699.
However, early birds will be able to get their hands on Honor 10 for slightly lower price at RM 1,599 if they purchase the new phone from 24 to 31 May. The deal will be made available through retail stores nationwide as well as Honor Malaysia’s website and Shopee for online purchase.
