The Huawei Nova 3E – marketed as the Huawei P20 Lite in other markets – will be available in Malaysia from 25 May onwards. Retailing at RM1,399, this mid-range smartphone shares some similarities with the higher-end P20 phones.
For one, the Nova 3E has a 5.84-inch Full HD+ 18:9 notched display, and like most mid-range Huawei smartphones, it is powered by a Kirin 659 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. On top of that, it also comes with 128GB of internal storage – very generous amount, especially for a mid-range phone.
Aside from that, the Nova 3E features a dual-camera system too. Made up of 16MP and 2MP sensors, the phone can take images with bokeh effects. Naturally, even the 16MP front-facing shooter can do the same, and it’s also used for the 3E’s face unlock feature.
Other specifications of the Nova 3E include a rear fingerprint sensor, a microSD card slot, as well as EMUI 8.0 based on Android Oreo out of the box.
According to the company, the Huawei Nova 3E can be purchased from 25 May 2018. Although the phone retails at RM1,399, Huawei is offering RM79 discount on the phone until 31 May, effectively lowering the price down to RM1,320. Those who purchase the Nova 3E early will also receive a Huawei tripod selfie stick worth RM68, though this is only available while stocks last.
