When Grab took over Uber operations in Southeast Asia earlier this year, it not just limited to e-hailing service as the company has also assume UberEATS operations into its own food delivery service, GrabFood as part of the acquisition. While the transition process seems to be still in progress, the company has activated the GrabFood service in Malaysia recently.
Available for both Android and iOS devices, the GrabFood app was actually released to Malaysian users since earlier this month. According to its official website, the service is currently still in beta and can only be obtained in selected places within central Klang Valley.
Specifically, GrabFood Malaysia is only available in Mont Kiara, Sri Hartama, Bukit Damansara, and Bangsar. In terms of registration, users are able to import details from their existing Grab account.
As Grab Malaysia has scheduled a media briefing later this week, we expect to hear more details regarding this service as well as an update on their Uber Southeast Asia’s acquisition over there. So, stay tuned.
