Alongside the new Dell G Series gaming laptops, Dell Malaysia has also brought in the newly refreshed edition of Alienware 15 and Alienware 17 gaming laptops. While these gaming beasts might looked identical to their predecessors, they do feature brand-new heart from Intel.
Specifically, Alienware 15 and 17 gaming laptops now feature the performance-oriented 8th Gen Intel Core H-series processors. For both models, they can be obtained with up to Intel Core i9-8950HK which is the most powerful processor in the family at the moment.
Not only that, the Core i9 chip that Dell has equipped into these newly refreshed Alienware laptops can be overclocked up to 5GHz which is slightly higher than the chip’s standard Max Turbo clock speed. Graphics-wise, the Alienware 15 comes with up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q while the Alienware 17 can be beefed up with up to the standard version of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 which will be slightly overclocked by Dell.
120Hz panel is also available for both models which support up to 32GB of DDR4-2666 RAM, 1TB PCIe M.2 solid state drive, and 1TB 7200rpm hard drive. For those who want Tobii Eye Tracker with their unit, the option is available for Alienware 17 as well.
In terms of price, the Alienware 15 with 8th Gen Intel Core H-Series processor starts at RM 5,999 while the Alienware 17 with similar option of processors goes for RM 7,999 onwards. Do take note that Dell Malaysia is still selling Alienware 15 and 17 with 7th Gen Intel Core processors, so make sure that you choose the correct processor for your unit if you planning to get your hands on either of these gaming beasts.
