Earlier this year, HMD Global has launched quite a number of Nokia-branded devices at Mobile World Congress with some of them such as the Nokia 7 plus and Nokia 1 have already make their way into Malaysia. Obviously, there are still more to come from the company and this statement is strengthen by the fact that images of HMD Global’s upcoming Nokia phone have already make their way online.
While Nokia X6 (not to be confused with the model launched in 2009) will only be officially launched on 15 May, the phone is apparently being displayed at an on-going public showcase event in Beijing since few days ago. However, the hardware configurations for the device are still under wraps at the moment.
That being said, it has been rumored that the phone will come with MediaTek Helio P60 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. The price of the phone will apparently start from CNY 1599 (about RM 990) to CNY 1799 (about RM 1115) respectively.
Nevertheless, one thing is clear though: the model comes with a notch on the top part of its 5.8-inch 19:9 display which is something that has been confirmed by HMD Global itself. At the same time, the 2018 version of Nokia X6 also features dual rear cameras although we not sure if they will be equipped with Zeiss optics since there is no such branding on the camera module.
Even though HMD Global has showed the phone at its on-going showcase event in Beijing, the company is only willing to reveal more official details regarding the 2018 Nokia X6 on 16 May. So, stay tuned.
