HMD Global is again leaning on the nostalgia factor for its upcoming Nokia smartphone. The company is bringing back the X6 name, which was used on a Nokia phone from 2009, for its new device.
New renders for the new X6 has surfaced online exposing most of the phone’s design. Based on the images, the phone looks almost identical to the Nokia 7 Plus smartphone with some new design elements. With the most prominent design on the X6 is the notch at the top of the screen.
Other than that, the phone resembles most of what we have seen from the 7 Plus. On the white model, the copper accents and identical camera placement. Though the LED flash is now placed symmetrically between the rear camera and the fingerprint sensor.
Alleged specifications of the phone are said to be a 5.8-inch screen on the front that uses a 19:9 aspect ratio. Oddly, there will be two variants available that sports different chipset. A cheaper variant that costs CNY 1599 or RM 990 will be running on Snapdragon 636 with 4GB of RAM. On the other hand, a pricier version will be using MediaTek Helio P60 SoC with 6GB of RAM. The latter version will be priced at CNY 1799 or RM 1120. The Nokia X6 is said to be ready to be launched this Friday in China.
