Xiaomi will be opening quite a number of Mi Stores locally in the near future. The company will be launching new outlets in Selangor, Malacca, Johor Bahru, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, and even Alor Setar.
We previously wrote that Xiaomi will be opening three new Mi Stores nationwide, and it seems like these three will be a part of the six stores announced today at the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5’s launch event. The Selangor branch will be located in 1 Utama, while the Penang and Kota Kinabalu outlets are in Prangin Mall and Imago Shopping Mall respectively.
And then we have the Johor Bahru Mi Store, which seems to be operational already in Paradigm Mall. As for the one in Malacca, it’s located in Dataran Pahlawan. Last but certainly not least is the Alor Setar outlet in Aman Central, Kedah. Update: It appears there are two more outlets in Selangor and Penang at Aeon Bukit Tinggi, Klang and Sunway Carnival Mall respectively.
These six outlets will join five other existing Mi Stores throughout Malaysia. These include the very first outlet in Queensbay Mall, Penang; Suria KLCC; IOI City Mall, Putrajaya; Nu Sentral; and Mi Suria Sabah.
Without a doubt Xiaomi is strengthening its offline presence in Malaysia, and it’s doing a pretty good job. Hopefully, the company will open even more outlets nationwide in the future.
