honor’s first flagship of the year is finally here. As expected, the new honor 10 has a gradient-like colourway, and it even features a similar display notch as Huawei’s P20 phones.
Even though it sports a gradient glass back, it’s not quite as sleek as the P20’s Twilight colourway. In fact, it’s actually more similar to the Aurora Glass back of its predecessors, except for the fact that it’s not one solid colour now.
And yes, the honor 8’s 5.84-inch Full HD+ display also has a notch at the top. If you don’t like the notch, there is an option to “hide” it by darkening the notched area – very similar to Huawei’s implementation on the P20 phones.
Other specifications of the honor 10 include a Kirin 970 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, a 24MP + 16MP dual-camera system, a 24MP front-facing shooter, and a 3,400mAh battery. It also ships with EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
The honor 10 will be available for pre-order in China today. The 64GB model retails at 2,599 Chinese yuan (about RM1,610), while the 128GB variant goes for 2,999 yuan (around RM1,855). The honor 10 is certainly an affordable flagship-tier smartphone, and it’ll be interesting to see if honor Malaysia will launch the device here.
