The Google Home and Home Mini have officially landed in Singapore through Google’s official online store. Not only the smart speakers now available for customers in the island republic, the speakers now supports both Singapore English and multi-user voice recognition for local customers.
As a recap, the Google Home is a connected speaker which can play music, control household appliances, and perform other tasks using voice commands. Using Google Assistant, it connects to the internet to pull in information as well as playback music from apps such as Spotify and Youtube. The Google Home Mini meanwhile is a smaller device that performs the same functions but in a smaller form factor.
Customers looking to get their hands on the speakers can head to Google’s online store or from StarHub, Courts and Challenger retail stores. Google is only bringing in one colour for the Home, while the Home Mini will be available in Chalk, Charcoal or Coral (which is a Google online store exclusive for now).
The launch of the Home and Home Mini joins previously released devices in Singapore – the Chromecast, Pixel 2 XL, Google Wifi and Google Buds. Pricing for the Home and Home Mini is higher than the US, with the Home priced at SGD189 (RM 561) while the Home Mini carries a sticker price of SGD79 (RM 234).
