Gigabyte recently unveiled three new X470 AORUS Gaming motherboards for the second-generation AMD Ryzen processors. The motherboards in question are the AORUS Gaming 7 WiFi, AORUS Gaming 5 WiFi, and AORUS Ultra Gaming.
The new motherboards will use the AM4 socket, and all three will come with some new and updated features. As a start, the new motherboards will have 10+2 power phases and 8+4 solid pin connectors, enabling users to feed more power into the motherboard for a more stable overclocking experience.
The motherboards will also come with dual PCIe x4 M.2 SSD slots, enabling users to utilise lightning-fast NVMe SSDs on the motherboard. To keep it all cool, the M.2 slots are also fitted with M.2 Thermal Guards that are designed to prevent performance throttling on the SSDs.
For the X470 AORUS motherboards with the ‘WiFi’ moniker, users will be able to take advantage of the Intel Wireless 802.11ac Wave 2 wireless technology, which provides transfer speeds of up to 1.73Gb/s. On the audio side, Gigabyte has reportedly updated the on-board Realtek ALC1220-VB codec and ESS Sabre DAC, promising a better audio experience to all users.
Naturally, like its predecessors, the new X470 AORUS Gaming series motherboards will come built with Gigabyte’s own RGB LED solutions. At the time of writing, Gigabyte did not mention the pricing for the three motherboards or when they will be arriving in Malaysia.
