XDA Developers recently have released an analysis of the firmware files that were apparently made for upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6X. Among details that were revealed by the files are the specs of the phone which will be announced on 25 April.
Some of the information regarding the phone have already leaked through its TENAA listing few weeks ago. Among such details are its dual camera which has now been officially confirmed by today’s teaser but the listing didn’t show the exact sensors that Xiaomi has equipped into them.
Other than that, the phone’s appearance on TENAA database has also revealed its 5.99-inch FHD+ display, 2910mAh battery, and up to 6GB of RAM as well as 128GB internal storage. It apparently will not feature a 3.5mm audio port as well.
XDA Developers’ analysis further revealed more information regarding Mi 6X which include the 12MP Sony IMX486 and 20MP Sony IMX376 sensors for the phone’s rear camera. There is also another 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor on the phone’s front camera.
Both of Mi 6X’s dual rear cameras come with f/1.8 lens while the front camera features an f/2.2 lens instead. Interestingly, Xiaomi has apparently decided to include a front-facing flash on the phone as well.
Not to forget, the Mi 6X is also equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor However, XDA Developers noted that the processor is apparently being underclocked to 2.0GHz instead of 2.2GHz which is rather odd.
As interesting as all the info above might sounds like, it is not going to be long before Xiaomi officially launches the phone anyway. Hence, stay tuned for the launch of Mi 6X later this month.
