Asus is launching a new ultraportable in Malaysia, the Asus ZenBook 13. Featuring Intel’s latest 8th generation processors, the ZenBook 13 also comes with a couple of other neat features, including an Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU and MIL-STD-810G certified.
Even though it comes with a dedicated GPU, the new ZenBook 13 is surprisingly thin and light. Measuring only 13.9mm thin and weighing a mere 985g, this is quite an impressive ultraportable. On top of the MX150 GPU, the ZenBook 13 can also be configured with an Intel Core i5-8250U or i7-8550U processor.
The ZenBook 13’s display is quite interesting too. Aside from its slim bezels – giving it an 80% screen-to-body ratio – the laptop’s 13.3-inch Full HD display covers 100% sRGB colour gamut, which should provide a pleasant viewing experience. It’s also worth mentioning the ZenBook 13’s Harman Kardon-certified audio system – it promises the “ultimate audio experience.”
Other specifications of the ZenBook 13 include 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, two choices of SSD storage (256GB SATA3 or 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD), two USB Type-A ports, a single USB-C connection, and even an HDMI port. Although it doesn’t come with an SD card reader, the laptop does feature a microSD card slot.
The new Asus ZenBook 13 is now available in Malaysia. The base model with a Core i5 processor and 256GB of storage retails at RM4,099, while the higher-end Core i7 variant with a 512GB SSD goes for RM5,599.
