ZTE is trying to get ahead of this whole notched display business by taking the design to the next logical step: two notches. Or at least that seems to be the case with the a leaked device currently known as the Iceberg.
There’s certainly some interesting design choices made with the ZTE Iceberg. The most notable being the notch at the top and bottom of the display. The uppermost notch contains the same things as other devices, housing an earpiece for calls, the selfie camera, and ambient light sensor. The lower eyesore is simply there for a speaker.
Additionally, there seems to additional glass protrusions jutting out from the edges of the device. Make it look a little odd, but perhaps hoping to evoke the idea of something being encased in ice (due to the Iceberg moniker).
On the back, there’s a more conventional setup. Sporting dual cameras and a fingerprint sensor. Which is fine considering how the front will already have people talking.
The ZTE Iceberg shouldn’t be a commercial device. Seeing that WinFuture is calling it a concept phone. The Chinese manufacturer isn’t exactly pulling a Xiaomi yet, and seems to understand the purpose of floating a concept device into the public consciousness.
