Word has it that Product Red versions of Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are about to be announced. The last Product Red iPhone were the iPhone 7 phones, which have been discontinued back in September last year.
According to an internal memo given to the employees of Virgin Mobile, Apple will announce the charity-driven Product Red iPhone 8 and 8 Plus – the official announcement may be done very soon. Apple isn’t holding a big event for the special edition phone, rather it will just be in a form of a press release .There was no mention of a Product Red version for the iPhone X, unfortunately
Apple products with the Product Red branding will have a portion of the profit donated to Global Fund – an organization that provides financial support to help fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria in Africa. According to Apple, it has raised over US$160 million through the sale of these products.
Indeed should be this week. Nice scoop @rsgnl 💪👑🕵️♂️ https://t.co/kdUxA2UzEp

A trusted Apple reporter at Bloomberg News, Mark Gurman, has also backed up the new Product Red iPhones in his tweet. MacRumors, on the other hand, suggests that we can expect more announcement other than the new iPhone variants. This all will be confirmed as we wait and see what sort of announcement Apple will be making in the near future.
