It looks like Xiaomi fans in Malaysia will be able to get their hands on yet another batch of new products soon. Earlier this week, two new products have been listed under Xiaomi Malaysia’s name on SIRIM’s database which usually means that they will be made available in our market soon.
One of them is the Redmi Note 5 which is listed as its M1803E7SG model name. This particular device was originally launched in India as the Redmi Note 5 Pro. However, the Redmi Note 5 in India is called as the Redmi 5 Plus in China and Malaysia instead.
If you feel rather confused, just try to focus more on its specifications. We are looking at 5.99-inch full HD+ 18:9 display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor alongside up to 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also comes with dual rear cameras that feature 12MP and 5MP sensors as well as 13MP front camera and 4000mAh battery
Meanwhile, the newly announced Mi Wireless Charger has also made its way to the SIRIM database as MDY-09-EF. Designed according to the Qi wireless charging standard and comes with an affordable price tag, this charge can be used not only with Xiaomi products but should be able to support pretty much any devices that use the same standard.
Given their appearances on SIRIM’s database, we expect Xiaomi to make an announcement regarding their official availability in our market very soon. So, stay tuned but for the meantime, check out our hands-on experience with Redmi Note 5 (Redmi Note 5 Pro in India) right here.
