OPPO has confirmed that its brand-new F7 smartphone will be launched in Malaysia within this month. The model which was originally launched in India late last month is set to be the second all-new OPPO device for 2018 in Malaysia after the A83 which was released in our market back in January.
Built with a 6.23-inch full HD+ 19:9 IPS display, the F5 is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 processor and can be obtained with two memory options: 4GB and 6GB. The internal storage capacity for each variant is also different from each other at 64GB and 128GB respectively.
As indicated by its promotional materials, one of the most touted feature on F7 is its 25MP f/2.0 selfie camera which has been enhanced with OPPO’s own AI Beauty Technology 2.0 and hardware-based HDR capability. The camera alongside another in-house enhancement called AI Recognition Technology also helps F7 deliver its facial unlock security feature to users.
There is also another 16MP f/1.8 camera on the back of F7 which features AI Scene Recognition functionality. Both the standard F7 and F7 128GB carries 3400mAh battery but they don’t seem to come with the support for OPPO’s famed VOOC fast charge technology.
It has also been rumored that OPPO will release another variant called F7 Youth but official information regarding it is not yet available at the moment. As the standard F7 model is priced at INR 21990 (about RM 1311) in India while the F7 128GB goes for INR 26990 (about RM 1609), we expect that the prices of these phones will not be far different once they arrived in Malaysia.
