Dell has refreshed the XPS 15 with the new range of 8th generation Intel Core processors, providing the Ultrabook with options going up to the impressive Core i9. The manufacturer has also expanded the graphics card options to include the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, for those who want a little more power in their machines.
The 2018 version of the Dell XPS 15 changes very little from last year’s model. It retains the same chassis, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage combo, and 8GB RAM as a standard model.
However, the CPU options have been changed to a choice from the Intel Core i5-8300H, Core i7-8750H, and Core i9. All of which are built on the new Coffee Lake-H architecture that was recently revealed. Also, as before, the GPU choices range from Intel UHD 630 Graphics, a GTX 1050, and the newly added GTX 1050 Ti.
Dell has the price of the XPS 15 starting at $999.99 (RM3870), which definitely lacks all the newer options people might want. The refreshed laptop is due to be on pre-order on 16 April through the official website. A couple of caveats are that this is limited to only certain configurations, and that it may not be available in Malaysia yet at that time.
