Asus has unveiled its newest custom Radeon graphics card called the RX 570 Expedition. For those out of the loop, Asus’ “Expedition” series of graphics cards feature enhanced durability compared to others. Knowing this, Expedition graphics cards are mostly aimed towards internet cafes, which runs graphics cards continuously for long periods of time.
Speaking of durability, Asus’ RX 570 Expedition graphics card features extra durable electrical components as well as two IP5X-certified dust-proof open-air cooling fans. Design-wise, this graphics card comes with an all black cooler shroud, with a few red accents. Aside from the 80mm fans, cooling is also aided by two 8mm-thick copper heatpipes as well.
When it comes to specifications, the Asus RX 570 Expedition features a clock speed of 1256MHz; while memory clock speed is kept constant at 7GHz. Memory capacity of this graphics card is 8GB. Video outputs on the RX 570 Expedition include one HDMI, DisplayPort, and DVI ports each. In addition, this graphics card also draws power from one 8-pin power connector.
It should also be noted that the Asus RX 570 Expedition is claimed to have been put through “144 hours of extreme stress-testing” before being shipped. Unfortunately, local pricing and date of availability was not mentioned at the time of writing.
