Android tablets might be coming back in 2018, as Lenovo looks to be updating its Android tablet offerings. This comes very shortly after Huawei released a series of new Android tablets back at MWC in early March.
The Lenovo tablet with the model number TB-8304F1 was seen on Geekbench and also the FCC database. The tablet will have an unspecified Quad-core chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Geekbench score is not particularly impressive, suggesting the processor will be a lower end one.
Just like previous Lenovo Android tablets, this new tablet will have Dolby Atmos technology based on the FCC data. It was also tested with Android 7.0 running on it. Therefore, there’s a possibility that the tablet will not be launched with the latest Android software on board. Other specs include support for Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n.
Lenovo seems to be one of the few companies to consistently release new Android tablets every year, and the slowdown in the market doesn’t seem to be deterring it from continuing the trend.
