Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Corp. will be testing a new map for the players starting this week. Codenamed ‘Savage’, the new map will be smaller than the currently available battlegrounds, measuring in at just 4×4 kilometres.
The new map size is merely a quarter of the size of the two currently available maps, Erangel and Miramel. There’s actually a short video clip of the new map in action, but it only appears near the end of the video (right around the 2:53 mark).
The test period will commence from 2 April at 10PM EST (that’s 3 April at 10AM for us) until 5 April at 7am EST (6 April at 7PM). Unfortunately, PUBG has said that the first round of testing will a closed beta, which means that only a limited number of players will gain access on the day itself.
