It looks like more and more X470 motherboards are being leaked. This time round, folks at VideoCardz have managed to obtain several images of Asus’ upcoming X470 motherboard. To be more specific, the mainboard in question is the ROG Crosshair VII Hero X470, and it’s said to be Asus’ top-end offering for AMD’s upcoming lineup of Ryzen 2000 series processors.
Design-wise, the Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero X470 features an all black colour scheme, with a few metallic accents here and there. That said, the aesthetics of this motherboard remains largely similar to the older Crosshair VI mainboard, with only minute changes. One such change is the placement of the power on/reset buttons.
When it comes to specifications, the Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero X470 features six SATA 6Gbps ports, twelve USB ports of different versions, one legacy PS/2 port. Besides that, this mainboard is also fitted with 8+4 pin power connectors and three PCIe x 16 slots. Aside from components, key features like performance and efficiency improvements were not mentioned.
Those aside, the Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero X470 is rumoured to be made available at selected regions on 19 April 2018. Whether this motherboard will available for purchase in Malaysia around the same time remains to be seen. We’ll be sure to update you with details regarding local pricing and date of availability as soon as Asus Malaysia releases an official announcement.
