Oppo has announced a Pro version of the A83 that was launched back in January. The new A83 Pro doesn’t differ much from the original A83, although it does come with upgraded RAM and storage.
The A83 Pro comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage; as opposed to the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage on the original A83. Otherwise, the phone is relatively unchanged retaining the 5.7-inch 18:9 HD+ display, 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.
The device is powered by Mediatek’s MK6737T octa-core processor and it runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Oppo’s ColorOS 3.2 on top. The phone sports a 3180mAh powered battery, and will be available in either Black or Rose Gold.
Oppo hasn’t set a date on when the phone will go on sale in India yet, nor is there any indication of whether it will appear in other markets. Price wise, the A83 Pro carries a price tag of Rs 15990 (RM950). Curiously, this is still a slightly less powerful version of the Oppo F5; albeit not by much less anymore.
