Huawei claims that the P20 phones are “designed for professional photography.” While we’re not entirely sold yet on this idea, there’s no doubting the sheer potential of the P20 and P20 Pro when it comes to photography. And that’s what we intend to find out in this blind camera comparison.
We went around the beautiful city of Paris to snap some shots with the Huawei P20, P20 Pro, and Mate 10 Pro. In terms of hardware, the P20 and Mate 10 Pro both feature 12MP RGB + 20MP monochrome dual-camera systems – though the P20 sports a newer generation system – while the P20 Pro comes with a Leica triple-camera setup made up of a whopping 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP monochrome shooter, and an 8MP telephoto lens.
Needless to say, the P20 Pro has the most advanced camera system here, but it’ll be interesting to see if it can capture the best-looking shots too. Like our past blind camera comparisons, images taken with the three phones are arranged in random order – we’ll reveal the camera identities sometime next week.
