The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are Huawei’s most impressive P series phones yet, and it will arrive in Malaysia very, very soon. In fact, the local launch of these two phones will be taking place next week on 3 April.
Considering the fact that the P20 phones were only made official globally today, this is a very, very timely local launch. In retrospect, it’s not very surprising either – most Huawei phones are launched here very quickly. Evidently, Huawei considers Malaysia to be one of its key markets.
Unlike their predecessors, the P20 and P20 Pro bring quite a number of very interesting features. These include the ability to record 960fps slow motion video at 720p, a slew of AI-centric camera features, as well as minimal screen bezels – complete with a notch at the top of their displays.
But the most impressive features are only available on the P20 Pro, especially its Leica triple-camera system. It consists of a 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP monochrome shooter, as well as an 8MP telephoto lens, which allows for 5x hybrid zoom. Aside from that, the P20 Pro can also shoot at up to 102,400 ISO – that’s really, really impressive.
The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro will be launched in Malaysia on 3 April next week. Hopefully, Huawei Malaysia will price these two phones competitively – we’re especially interested to see how much the P20 Pro will retail at.
