An unannounced Xiaomi phone was spotted on China’s TENAA just ahead of the launch of the brand new Mi Mix 2S. The filing appears to be for the Xiaomi Mi A2 a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display followup to the Mi A1 from last year.
The 18:9 screen is accompanied by a single camera and an earpiece at the top. It not yet known whether the phone will have a notch or not, as the sample image shows the display turned off. From the image, there is a dual cameras on the top left corner. The back of the phone also houses the fingerprint scanner.
According to Phone Radar, Xiaomi is using a unibody metal design on the Mi 2A. Powering the device will be a 2910mAh battery. No other specs were available with the TENAA filing; however, the Mi A2 might use the newer Snapdragon 630 or 636 chipset.
