The Honor 7A Leaked With Snapdragon 430 And Dual Cameras

China Telecom has briefly leaked a new Honor smartphone – the honor 7A. It looks to be a less powerful than its brethren, packing somewhat midrange hardware. Despite this, it still manages to include a dual camera setup on the back.

The phone will run on the entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Honor’s decision to use the older 430 chipset instead of the newer Snapdragon 450 may turn out to be a bit of a disappointment. Other specs of the 7A include a 5.7-inch 18:9 display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixel.

The dual rear cameras will be a paired 13MP+2MP sensor. On the front, the 7A will have a single 8MP front-facing camera. The Honor 7A comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Powering the device will be a large 3000mAh powered battery.

Based on the specs, the 7A looks to be a somewhat decent mid-range offering by Honor. It checks all of the box in term of specs such as the dual camera, a big battery, and a modestly sized RAM and storage. However, considering it uses the old and underpowered Snapdragon 430 is a letdown. Its asking price of RM 926 doesn’t help it either

The Honor 7A will be available to purchase in China this Friday. Honor hasn’t made any announcement whether it will be bringing the device to Malaysia.
