The smartphone sub-brand of ZTE, Nubia has recently launched a new phone in the form of Nubia V18. Equipped with a 6.01-inch full HD+ 18:9 display, the V18 also features a battery with substantial capacity of 4000mAh battery.
Given the popularity of full screen display on smartphone these days, it is not surprising that the V18 also comes with such display. While the phone’s design seems to be aligned with the current trend, Nubia’s choice of processor for V18 is rather odd though by opting for the aging Snapdragon 625 similar to the previously announced N3.
With 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space though, the phone should be able to stand by itself in terms of performance against other phones within the same class. Unlike the N3, the V18 features a single 13MP f/2.2 PDAF rear camera instead of a dual rear camera setup as well as a lower resolution 8MP f/2.0 fixed focus selfie camera.
In terms of pricing, the Nubia V18 will be made available in China later this month for CNY 1299 (about RM 807). For now, there is no official indication whether Nubia will bring the V18 to our shores anytime soon.
