After a soft launch in Canada last week, the mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is finally available in Malaysia. Originally launched in China as PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield last month, PUBG Mobile can now be obtained for both Android and iOS devices.
Developed by Tencent Games, PUBG Mobile provides the similar battle royale experience as per the original PC version alongside a number of tweaks to make it suitable for mobile devices. Just like the Windows version, PUBG Mobile still supports 100 players in a single map.
Meanwhile, do note that the game requires Android devices with at least Android 5.1.1 and 2GB of RAM. As for iOS devices, it can be run on devices as old as the iPhone 5s although the developer has stated that the oldest recommended device is the iPhone 6.
In terms of download size, the Android version has a file size of 706MB while the iOS version is 892.7MB. Given the massive file size, it goes without saying that we do recommend you to download PUBG Mobile via Wi-Fi.
