Huawei is expected to launch its new P20 series of smartphones next week on 27 March. Based on the Chinese company’s various teasers, it’s evident that the P20 phones will have impressive camera systems, and we may have a glimpse of the phones’ camera capability now.
CNET Spain managed to get its hands on three images taken with a P20 phone with the model number EML-AL00, which is believed to be the standard P20 – not the Pro variant. According to CNET Spain, the images came from “sources close to Huawei,” and it verified that the metadata of the images were not modified in any way.
If these images are taken with the P20, it’s really quite impressive. Of course, the studio lighting definitely helps – and it’s not known if the images were edited in any way – but considering the fact that these pictures were (possibly) taken with a smartphone, the results are quite stunning.
Based on past leaks and rumours, as many as three smartphones will be unveiled under the P20 series: the standard P20, the higher-end P20 Pro, and the more affordable P20 Lite. Out of the three phones, the P20 Pro is naturally the most interesting one – it’s said to be sporting a triple-camera setup and a sexy gradient colourway.
The Huawei P20 series of smartphones will be unveiled on 27 March in Paris. Now that the standard P20 has already been registered with SIRIM, we won’t be surprised if the upcoming phones will be available in Malaysia as early as April next month.
