Leaks have apparently surfaced regarding three of Intel’s upcoming mobile processors called “Coffee Lake H.” For those who may remember, Intel’s Coffee Lake H series features several processors that come with six CPU cores; to be more specific, these are the Core i9-8950HK, Core i7-8850H, and Core i7-8750H.
Interestingly, Cinebench scores of all three six-core Coffee Lake H processors have been leaked. When it comes to the single-core benchmark, the top of the line Core i9-8950HK managed to obtain a respectable score of 204, while the Core i7-8850H and Core i7-8750H had scores of 181 and 178 respectively.
The scores, however, get rather odd in the multi-core benchmark. Despite having an impressive single-score score, the Core i9-8950HK only managed to attain a multi-core score of 1,083. Intel’s Core i7-8850H and Core i7-8750H meanwhile, had significantly higher multi-core scores of 1,288 and 1,270 respectively. The reasoning behind this discrepancy was not mentioned.
Those aside, consumers should expect these six-core Coffee Lake H processors to only be found on high-end, pricey gaming notebooks when they’re officially released sometime this year. Mid-range gaming notebooks will most probably get endowed with four-core Coffee Lake H CPUs instead. Regardless, we do urge our dear readers to take this one with a grain of salt, at least until Intel makes Coffee Lake H official.
