Vivo is getting ready to announce its new Vivo V9 smartphone in a couple of days. With its launch fast approaching, it seems that Vivo is just deliberately leaking its new phone ahead of its announcement.
The phone is already live on Vivo India’s website leaving little surprise left for the phone’s launch. Powering the V9 will be the Snapdragon 626 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Vivo’s new phone will have a large 6.3-inch with 2280×1080 resolution. The V9 will be another Android smartphone that is following the iPhone X’s footstep of having a top-notch on top of its 19:9 IPS touchscreen. There’s also a 3260mAh battery onboard and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Just as its previous smartphones, the new V9 comes with that high megapixel front-facing camera. The 24MP f/2.0 aperture selfie camera will ensure user’s selfies to be as detailed as possible. There’s a handful of features to enhance V9’s selfie experience such as AI Face Beauty, gender detection, AR stickers, Face Beauty Video, filters, and HDR support.
Furthermore, the dual camera set up on the back of the V9 will be a 16MP + 5MP cameras. Vivo is adding a lot of features to the camera such as slow-motion, AI Face Beauty, time-lapse mode, Live Photo, portrait bokeh mode, shot refocusing, and UHD video capture to name a few.
The device will come with Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s customised FunTouch OS 4.0 out of the box. Hardware wise, the V9 is made of a metal unibody construction that weighs 150g and 7.89mm thin.
The phone will be available in either black or gold, although pricing is yet to be determined. Funnily enough, the website placeholder price stands at ₹10 000 000 or RM 602 700. Stay tuned for more information on the V9 as the launch is just around the corner.
