Vivo is gearing up to launch a brand-new smartphone called V9 in Malaysia soon. Officially, the company has yet to reveal this to the public and has only mentioned about a launch event to its fan group earlier today but then again, there are already plenty of signs out there that clearly show that it is only a matter of time before we see Vivo officially unveiled the new phone in our market.
You might have heard of its sudden appearance in Indonesia and in a way, the same applies here as well. In Malaysia though, it is mainly limited to the company’s social media channels for the time being instead of a large billboard as several teasers regarding V9 have appeared on Vivo Malaysia’s Facebook and Twitter pages for the past few weeks.
Furthermore, Vivo Malaysia is also running a contest that incorporated V9 as part of its theme. Aside from its appearance on social media, the phone has apparently received approval from SIRIM as well under model name Vivo 1723.
Last but not least, the Bahasa Malaysia-based tech outfit Amanz have also recently a set of images that have provided a very close look at the upcoming device. The photos also clearly showed that the V9 which is equipped with 24MP selfie camera and dual rear cameras also features a notch on the top of its display.
Although they might come from an anonymous source, the fact that these images were sent to a Malaysian media further strengthen the fact that we should be seeing Vivo V9 in our market very soon. So, stay tuned.
