A leak has spread online that MSI’s powerhouse gaming notebook, the GT83VR Titan, will be getting a bit of a facelift in the CPU department with an eight-generation Intel Core i7-8850H processor.
News of the yet-to-be announced refreshed gaming notebook first appeared on the Greek shopping site, Public.gr, which listed the notebook’s Coffee Lake-H CPU. If the listing is to be believed, this would essentially make the GT83VR Titan one of the first MSI notebooks to house Intel’s 45W 6-cores, 12-threads CPU.
The Coffee Lake CPU notwithstanding, the refreshed GT83VR Titan still houses dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 in SLI, a whopping 64GB of DDR4 RAM, two 512GB PCIe NVMe SSDs in RAID, plus a 1TB HDD that we reckon will spin at 7,200 rpm.
Outputting this all this computational and graphical power is a 18.4″ display Full HD display; the same as the original GT83VR Titan.
And then there’s the pricing; before the listing was taken offline, the notebook supposedly had a pricing of 6,199 Euros (~RM29,875), which is pricey and expected of a notebook sporting these kind of specs.
Of course, MSI has yet to make an official announcement on the notebook, so until then, and as always, we do advise our readers to take this news with the proverbial pinch of salt.
