Fujifilm has brought in its highest performance mirrorless digital camera with the brand’s X Series into Malaysia, less than a month after its global launch. The Fujifilm X-H1 boasts of producing superior image quality, thanks to Fujifilm’s proprietary colour reproduction technology.
The X-H1 features a newly designed durable and robust body that aims to support the needs of professional photographers and videographers. It is the first within the X Series to include the latest 5-axis in-body image stabilisation (IBIS), which has a maximum of 5.5 stops. It also features a flicker reduction mode – the perfect feature to use for indoor sports photography.
Another interesting feature is its new film simulation mode – ETERNA mode. It is ideal for shooting movies, as the mode simulates cinematic film, creating understated colours and rich shadow tones, which greatly enhance creative freedom during post-processing.
The camera is mounted with a 24-megapixels APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor and an X-Processor Pro high-speed image processing engine. When used in combination with the brand’s Fujinon lenses, the X-H1 produces outstanding high-quality images that can capture the finest details, including texture, three-dimensional structure, and even the atmosphere and vibe of a particular scene.
The X-H1 is now available in Malaysia for RM7,899 (body) and RM9,188 (body and battery grip) respectively.
The camera is compatible with a range of Fujinon X Mount interchangeable lenses, with more slated to be released later this year. This includes the MKX18-55mmT2.9 and MKX50-135mmT2.9 professional cinema lenses incorporating the X mount – scheduled for global release in May 2018.
Fujifilm is also looking to release a wide aperture single-focus telephoto lens (XF200mmF2 R LM OIS WR) and a scenery/landscape lens (XF8-16mmF 2.8 R WR) by the end of this year.
